About the Holy Land
What is it about this land we call Holy?
It’s the source of the three Abrahamic faiths: Christianity, Judaism and Islam.
This is the place where Jesus and the Apostles walked, lived, and taught. Some call it the place where the earth meets eternity. Over thousands of years, politics, violence, and power struggles have vied with the Abrahamic faiths’ commitment to one God. Today, some view this land only through the political lens. But our Holy Land is filled with inspiration and vibrant communities.
Christians in the Holy Land
Today’s Holy Land is a living, breathing contemporary community of many faiths and ideologies. The Christian community draws strength from our, and your, ongoing commitment to their struggle to maintain and grow in a complex, volatile environment.
Visit. Learn. Share. Grow.
We can experience the area’s dynamic and complex nature through visits to holy sites, study and conversation, or by experiencing culture and traditions brought to life through others’ stories.
Visit the Holyland
AFEDJ’s goal is to bring some of the fullness of the Holy Land and its people to you, so we can understand and provide much needed support to the people living in this region today.
