Where We Work - Jerusalem
Princess Basma Center for Disabled Children
Directress: Betty Majaj
The Center is part of a national referral network serving children with special needs. Princess Basma trains and educates families so their children can gain academic and physical skills and their parents can become advocates for them. They facilitate mainstreaming and advocate for community rehabilitation policies and standards. Given the limited resources in the region, the Center also makes prosthetic devices, provides occupational therapy and has a sheltered workshop.
St. George’s School in Jerusalem
Headmaster: Eid Sader
Provides high quality education for 871 boys from kindergarten through secondary school. St. George’s strives to remain affordable in order to serve local families.
